More Opportunity Today Than The Last 4,000 Years Combined
Here's something I think about often: right now, in the Western world, an average person has more opportunity available to them than the last 4,000 years of documented human history combined.
Not "a lot of opportunity." More than almost the entirety of human history stacked together. And most people are using approximately none of it.
The Old Rules Didn't Have The Internet
For nearly all of human history, your economic ceiling was set by geography. Where you were born mostly decided what you could become. That constraint is gone for anyone with an internet connection, and a lot of people still operate like it's still 1975.
There are teenagers right now making more money from a laptop and a phone camera than most tradespeople make in a year of skilled, physical work. I say that as someone who spent years training for a trade — I'm not knocking the work. I'm pointing out that the map changed, and a lot of people are still using the old one.
Modern Moneymaking Isn't One Thing
When people hear "make money online" they picture one narrow thing — usually whatever scammy ad they saw last. In reality it's dozens of legitimate, boring-in-a-good-way paths:
- Teaching something you already know, to people two steps behind you
- Building a small paid community around a specific result
- Selling a simple digital product instead of your hours
- Writing or recording your way to an audience, then serving that audience directly
None of these require becoming an influencer. They require picking one thing and actually doing it for longer than a month.
The Cost Of Waiting
Time is the one resource on this list you can't get back. Money lost can be earned again. A year spent waiting for permission is gone for good.
If you want to see how real people are actually doing this — not theory, actual numbers and actual stories — that's exactly what I dig into inside Terrific 30.
